Keeping The Promise Of...
The Transportation
Needs of Hoosiers
In addition to
representing the values of the people of Eastern Indiana in Congress, it is my
duty to look out for the tangible needs of Hoosiers in the Second Congressional
District. This year’s Transportation Appropriations bill returned nearly $6.5
million in much needed funds to improve Eastern Indiana's transportation
infrastructure.
Projects
funded by this year's bill include
$4 million for the
Muncie Transit System to purchase new buses and improve existing facilities.
$1,245,000 for
improvements to McKinley and Riverside Avenues near Ball State, making these
streets safer for the students and citizens.
$500,000 for the
Anderson Municipal Airport for taxiway extension and safety improvements.
$700,000 for
improvements to Road 200 South to alleviate traffic on the West and South sides
of Columbus.
